This is a beautiful vintage Seiko Sportsmatic 820, reference 7625-8070, from October 1966. The Sportsmatic line was a cornerstone of Seiko's reliable and stylish automatic watch offerings in the 1960s, known for their durable 'Diashock' protected movements. This model features a classic stainless steel case, framing a great silver sunburst dial with applied baton indices and elegant dauphine hands. It is powered by the robust 17-jewel Seiko 7625 automatic movement, which includes a date complication. The date can be quickset by cycling the hands back and forth between approximately 10 pm and midnight, and this function works great.

The watch is presented in great overall vintage condition, especially for its age. The acrylic crystal is in great shape with no major marks. The classic silver sunburst dial is also in great condition, showing very minimal signs of ageing. The stainless steel case is a highlight, retaining its sharp original lines, showing only light signs of wear. It has been fitted with a brand new black leather strap that complements the style perfectly.
