Seiko 5 Actus Automatic Watch - Vintage JDM - Day-Date - Good Condition - 1969

A classic piece of Japanese watchmaking: the Seiko 5 Actus Automatic. The Actus line, often aimed at the Japanese Domestic Market, represented a slightly more modern take within the robust Seiko 5 family during its era.

This watch features a clean silver sunburst dial with applied indices and the signature Seiko 5 Actus branding. It includes a practical quick-set Day-Date complication (day wheel likely has both Kanji and English options) displayed at 3 o'clock, powered by a 21-jewel Seiko automatic movement 7019 calibre. The stainless steel cushion/tonneau case has the typical Actus crown position at 4 o'clock. It's currently fitted with a stainless steel bracelet that shows signs of light use – while it suits the watch, its exact originality is uncertain; it could be aftermarket or perhaps just a less common Seiko band from that period.

Offered in overall good vintage condition. The crystal is in good condition (acrylic so can be polished at home), and the dial is also in good shape with minimal signs of ageing. The case and the fitted bracelet show signs of light use, such as minor scratches and scuffs consistent with a well-cared-for watch from the 70s. Importantly, the watch is working and has been tested. After running overnight, it seems to be keeping decent time for a vintage automatic movement.
