This is a handsome vintage Seiko Champion 860 from 1968, a fantastic example of the reliable and stylish watches that defined Seiko in the 1960s. The Champion line was a popular mid-range offering, known for its robust manual wind movements. This model features a classic stainless steel case, a beautiful silver sunburst dial with applied baton indices, dauphine hands, and a date complication. At its heart is a durable 17-jewel manual wind movement with Seiko's Diashock protection system.
The watch is presented in great overall vintage condition. The original acrylic crystal is in great shape with no major marks. The classic silver sunburst dial is also in great condition, showing some light, even patina that adds to its authentic vintage character. The stainless steel case is in good condition for its age, with signs of wear consistent with a piece over 50 years old, but retaining its original lines well. It has been fitted with a brand new blue leather strap. The watch has been tested and is both fully functioning correctly and keeping accurate time within expected vintage tolerances.
A superb example of classic 60s Seiko design, this Champion 860 offers timeless style, a reliable manual wind movement, and a beautiful dial. Presented in great working condition on a new strap, it's a perfect choice for an everyday vintage piece.
