Vintage Waltham Dynax C.A. Swiss Quartz Mens Tank Watch - 1978

The Waltham name has a long American watchmaking history, but by the time this Dynax C.A. was made the original American based Waltham Watch Company was long gone, and this piece runs on a Swiss ETA quartz movement built for the brand under license, a common practice across the industry once the U.S. manufacturer closed its doors. What it lacks in domestic pedigree it makes up for in design: a sharply faceted tonneau case finished in a dark, ceramic-like hardcoat that's noticeably more scratch resistant than plain polished steel, topped with a cabochon-set crown that adds a small but genuine touch of luxury detailing, all set against a warm champagne dial that keeps the face looking rich rather than plain.

Great condition. No noticeable marks on the crystal, the dial has some light dust but is otherwise clean, and the case is in great shape. The cabochon crown is in great condition too. Fitted with a replacement tan leather band. Extensively tested and working well.
